9) Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels – WWE Bad Blood 2004

This was the match of matches to end this historic, violent feud between the two former friends at the time. Michaels had returned to the WWE in 2002 after suffering a back injury that kept him out for four years. When he returned, he did a segment with Triple H, who would turn on his former partner in crime in D-Generation X. This shocked everyone.

From there, the two battled for a few years with the culmination of the feud being this Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood to settle the score.

This contest turned out to be the longest Hell in a Cell match by far in WWE’s history and still is to this day. It nearly went an hour as these two just tore each other apart. The match was slow, methodical (too much to a degree since the crowd was pretty out of it) and brutally physical.

This Hell in a Cell match between Michaels and Triple H was memorable and worth the watch, just make sure you have the time and energy to sit down to watch this.
