WWE RAW Preview: Post Night Of Champions Edition

Kevin Owens, Intercontinental Champion

Kevin Owens captured his first major WWE title by defeating Ryback to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Doing so via very heelish ways, Ryback is eager to get his rematch in the hopes of recapturing the title.

The IC Title has been considered a workhorse championship, but KO appears to only be in it for more prize fights and money in his pocket. Could Ryback choose tonight to try to put an end to KO’s short reign? Looking past Ryback, who could possibly challenge for Owens’ newly won gold? Cesaro’s name comes to mind because of the battles the two have had over the past couple of months.

It would be unfair to look past the impending rematch between Ryback and KO, but the feud possibilities down the road for Owens as IC Champion are endless. Owens may be the perfect person to inject life into the IC Title and its division, giving us quality wrestling and feuds for the next couple of months. This is the right man to have the title, and we will see that over the course of time.

As for now, Owens needs to focus on the challenger at the moment and that is Ryback. Anything beyond that is not a guarantee for the prize-fighter.
