3. Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, 2014

If it wasn’t for breaking The Undertaker’s 21-0 unbeaten streak at WrestleMania XXX, this match could have well been No. 1 on this list. This was the night that Brock Lesnar convinced the world he was the baddest human being (if you can call him that) on the face of Planet Earth.

  • For over 16 minutes, Brock Lesnar threw John Cena around the ring like a ragdoll. I’ve personally watched the match dozens of times, and I still can’t believe the outcome every time. Between the F-5 from Lesnar 30 seconds into the match and 16(!) German suplexes, fans were left in awe of what they just witnessed.

This match was booked to absolute perfection: John Cena mustered hardly any kind of offense, Brock Lesnar mocked The Undertaker at one point late in the match, and Lesnar not only won the gold, he looked like a complete cyborg doing it. Lesnar needed to look inhuman off his shocking victory over The Undertaker a few months prior, and that’s exactly what happened.

If you’re a fan of Brock Lesnar or one of the many John Cena critics, you’ve probably seen this encounter on more than one occasion. There’s dominance, then there’s what Brock Lesnar did to John Cena last summer.
