WWE NOC Recap

The show opens with a recap of Night of Champions’ main events with Kane returning and taking out both Seth Rollins and Sheamus. Then we get a quick recap of Monday where Kane returned as Corporate Kane and then the Demon Kane to assault Rollins and grab him from under the ring.

SmackDown is airing from Corpus Christi, Texas, the same city that was host to the Elimination Chamber.

Kane & Seth Rollins Opening Segment

Director of Operations Kane is out to start SmackDown. Director of Operations Kane looks more and more like Drew Carey, who he faced in the 2001 Royal Rumble, everyday. Kane says now was the right time to come back because WWE is on fire. Kane says that tonight Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens will team up with Rusev against Ryback and Dolph Ziggler. He also says Luke Harper will face Roman Reigns, and that Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt are barred from ringside during the match. Kane is going to announce another match when a very angry Seth Rollins makes his way out.

Rollins says Kane’s “Bruce Banner” situation is a joke. Rollins says Kane is the demon and everyone knows it. Kane says he watched Night of Champions from the comfort of his own home when Sheamus tried to cash in. Rollins asks about Monday when Kane tried to drag him to hell. Kane tells Seth to look at him and see that he’s the guy in the suit, not someone out to inflict pain on Seth.

Rollins says Kane isn’t fit to be Director of Operations anymore and that he needs help. Kane announces that Seth Rollins will square off against Dean Ambrose in the main event, and Rollins storms to the back.
