Outside the Top-10

Charlotte: It’s kind of sad seeing the new Divas Champion being overshadowed by pretty much every other diva on the roster. Charlotte’s presence this week included participation in a mediocre six-person tag match at MSG and a pair of lackluster backstage promos. The woman can wrestle, yet for some reason the WWE won’t let her.

Team BAD: Let’s be real: this is about Sasha Banks more than anything. Even if her booking has been a conscious promotion of this week’s NXT Takeover special, back-to-back Bank Statement victories on Raw and Smackdown are promising for arguably the most talented Diva in the WWE.

Sheamus: His heel work improves by the week, and his MITB briefcase guarantees his relevancy for the foreseeable future. I’m having a hard time placing why, but Brogue Kicks have been more enjoyable as of late.

Dean Ambrose: Ugh, poor Ambrose. Dude has the potential to be one of the most captivating characters in the WWE, but right now he is floundering as Roman Reign’s running buddy. Sure, he’s regularly booked, but it’s hard to generate intrigue to casual viewers when all you can tell them is “He’s a lunatic, and he’s besties with that beautiful Samoan man.”

Randy Orton: The role of veteran ringleader seems to fit Randy well. Now that he’s no longer expected to carry a main even program, Orton has consistently been putting on entertaining matches while lifting up those around him. Similar to Cena on a smaller scale, Orton is doing what he can to open the door for future talent.

Ryback: Ryback is frustrating. He can go from putting on a great match and doing some excellent mic work one week to playing a generic, meat-headed babyface the next. It looks like he’s staying in the IC Title picture for the next month, but if he can’t find a way to stand out and further define himself by the end of October, we could be seeing a lot of pointless Meathooks come 2016.
