2. The New Day

In just one week’s time, the New Day has gone from having just one foe to having many. Alongside the Dudley Boyz, now Cena, Ziggler, and even Stephanie McMahon have problems with the New Day. And the New Day, albeit being an arrogant, hip-gyrating, trombone-touting lot, seem like they’re ready to take on the world.

Last night’s decimation took the New Day to a whole new level. What started with dragging Dolph Ziggler’s lifeless corpse out to the stage, ended with Ziggler, Cena and the Dudley Boyz all being left destroyed in the middle of the ring. Without compromising the bravado and humor that has gotten them this far, they demonstrated a sociopathic, straight-evil mean streak that conveyed, above all else, that the New Day is a group to take seriously.

The inevitable match between Cena and Kofi Kingston will be something you can’t miss, and if we are lucky, hopefully soon we will get to the see the U.S. Championship defended via the Freebird Rule.

Honestly, if the rumors regarding Cena’s time off are true, is there any other better home for the U.S. Championship? The only other option I see is this week’s Number 1 Superstar on the WWE Power Rankings…
