3. Apollo Crews vs. Tyler Breeze

This was an intriguing match. It came about through little more than two men bumping into each other backstage on NXT TV. Crews is the next big thing in the company whilst Breeze seems to move from one defeat to another, all the while being one of the best in the ring.

Crews will be a World Champion at some point in the next five years. He has a move set unlike nobody else. Watching him hit his finisher, the standing moonsault, is breath-taking. Breeze should be in the same situation, at one point he looked a shoe in to be the next NXT Champion but he’s never got past the number one contenders spot.

The match started with Crews well on top until Breeze dropped a few little heel tactics to get the better of his larger foe. Driving him into the ring apron and working over his back before trying to get a submission with the Sharpshooter.

Crews struggled to hit his usual finisher but managed to get the win after hitting an impressive looking power bomb. Crews has to be in line for a shot at Finn Balor and the NXT Championship in the not too distant future.

Breeze continued his run as the man who can make anyone look even better than they are in the ring, while coming off on the losing end. How long will that run last and how many more losses will he have to take before getting what now seems to be an elusive big win?
