Backstage Interview with Summer Rae
Renee Young introduced Summer Rae, and a video recapped Summer’s slap on Rusev on Monday Night Raw.
Renee asked Summer if she thought Summer would be able to remain an impartial guest referee in Rusev’s match. Summer answered by saying that unlike some people, she can keep her personal life and professional life separate.
Backstage Interview with Dean Ambrose
Byron Saxton caught up with Dean Ambrose in the dressing room and asked Dean how he felt about Paige beating him out in the WWE Universe’s poll regarding the Most Unconventional Superstar. Dean didn’t seem to mind and resumed unpacking his bag.
All of the sudden, Ambrose repeatedly asked “Where is it?” and searched the room. Byron Saxton pulled a Payday bar out of Dean’s bag, to which Dean responded “There it is.”
Eugene’s Note: Ugh.
Kevin Owens vs. Zack Ryder
Result: Kevin Owens defeats Zack Ryder via pinfall
Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars
Ryder was already in the ring as Owens made his entrance. Ryback was seated at ringside, and Owens jawed off a little at him.
The opening bell rang. Ryder was on the offensive for about twenty seconds before KO took over. Ryder attempted a few comebacks and even managed a two-count off a surprise roll up, but it wassn’t long before Owens was back in control.
Owens yelled “Finish It!”—an obvious dig at Ryback—before hitting Ryder with the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the win.
Ryback entered the ring after the match was over, but KO rolled out of harm’s way before The Big Guy could get to him.
