Ten Things That Must Happen at Hell in a Cell for the Show to Be Great

The day is here: Hell in a Cell is upon us. There is a lot on the line at tonight’s pay-per-view, inside and outside the squared circle.

More from WWE

In the weeks leading up to the show, Hell in a Cell has become a sort of symbolic representation of the WWE as of late. With TV ratings plummeting, Hell in a Cell’s card is really playing with fire. Excluding the John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge, every scheduled match has already taken place once within the last two months of WWE programming. Thus, having a night of rematches is a bold move considering one could argue that these feuds are responsible for the recent drop in WWE’s viewership.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m excited to see how tonight shakes out. The marquee match-up between Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker within the confines of the Cell commands the attention of all wrestling fans alike. Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt’s showdown inside the structure should be a battle as well. John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge has yet to disappoint, and tonight has the bonus allure of a highly touted mystery opponent. There’s definitely a lot to look forward to.

On the flip side, though, Hell in a Cell could just as easily end in disappointment. As we saw at SummerSlam, ‘Taker and Lesnar are fully capable of putting on a lackluster performance. Reigns and Wyatt have seen plenty of their individual feuds end with a discouraging sigh. And as for the U.S. Open Challenge? There’s always the chance that someone like Big Show or Randy Orton could answer the call.

Regardless, I’m choosing to remain optimistic. But if tonight’s show is going to live up to its full potential, there are some absolute necessary events that need to occur.

With that, let’s take a look at the 10 Things That Must Happen at Hell in a Cell…
