More from WWE

The world of professional wrestling has had some superstars that struck fear in the hearts of their opponents and even the fans as they make their way to the squared circle ever since the earliest days where guys competed in different territories in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Undertaker’s entrance with the lights going out and the sound of the gong used to cause goosebumps along your arms. Kane’s fire would catch some off guard in the moments before coming to the ring.

Those are recent examples of characters that have had a large amount of success that started in the 1990s and continues until today in 2015. But for every scary gimmick that worked in professional wrestling, there were about 10 or 20 that didn’t have the same success.
