Jimmy Havoc

When you ask fans of British wrestling who’s one of the best characters around right now you’d probably hear the answer Jimmy Havoc. He’s a man who can evoke the most hateful of feelings from the fans who watch him, whilst being able to back up his words in the ring.

Starting out training alongside the likes of Zack Sabre Jr and Finn Balor he eventually found a niche for himself as more of a death match wrestler. Featuring in companies up and down the UK, including Progress Wrestling, IPW:UK and Insane Championship Wrestling, he was the man who brought the hardcore to any card he was part of. Some of the most brutal matches seen in the country featured Havoc. He was a man who the crowd always seemed to get behind. Then he turned his back on them and made it his aim to dominate every company he wrestled in, his most notable work came in Progress.

Coming in as babyface he went on a six match losing streak and was one of the most over men in the promotion. Then he snapped and attacked promoter Jim Smallman and ended up getting a title shot, which he cashed in on Champion Mark Andrews after he’d already wrestled and won the title, his first win in the company saw Havoc win the title!

Havoc became the man who only cared about himself, who was hell-bent on keeping his title by any means necessary, against any opponent. He causes anarchy and destruction wherever he appears. Eventually losing his title to longtime rival Will Ospreay (more on him later) after a reign lasting for 601 anarchic days, Havoc has shown why he’s one of the best heels in the world, not just in the UK. Not only does he excel in the ring but his promos are a cut above, not many people come close to him when he has the microphone in his hand.

All round Jimmy Havoc is a man who deserves to star on the biggest stage. In the past he’s torn up the ring facing Finn Balor, Eddie Edwards, Ospreay and more, as well as being part of Vince Russo’s faction in IPW:UK and so much more.

WWE has a plethora of heels but nobody on the level of Jimmy Havoc. Think Kevin Owens mixed with a little Mick Foley and a hint of Terry Funk.
