Cesaro vs. Sheamus

Result: Cesaro defeats Sheamus via pinfall to advance to the quarterfinals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament.

Cesaro and Sheamus started with a lockup before the former attempted a roll up.

Sheamus put on an arm lock on Cesaro until he hit an arm drag for a near-fall.

Sheamus hit an uppercut and barreled his shoulder into Cesaro before being hit with a right hand. Cesaro hit an uppercut that sent Sheamus out of the ring. The Celtic Warrior came back with the Irish Curse Backbreaker.

Sheamus began punching Cesaro’s chest and laid him out on the apron.

We come back to see Sheamus taking down Cesaro for a near-fall. He put a hold on the Swiss Superman until the latter got out of it. However, Sheamus began throwing uppercuts on the top rope and swung Cesaro off the ropes for a near-fall.

They began trading slaps until Cesaro reversed the Irish Curse Backbreaker and slammed Sheamus. Cesaro went for the swing but Sheamus got to the ropes. They then traded kicks and Sheamus suplexed Cesaro to the outside, also sending himself over.

In the ring, Cesaro went for an uppercut off the ropes but got hit with White Noise for a near-fall. Sheamus set up for the Brogue Kick but Cesaro ducked it and countered into the Sharpshooter. Sheamus would get to the bottom rope.

Sheamus began throwing uppercuts until Cesaro hit some of his own. He then hit a dropkick to knock Sheamus off the top rope.

Outside the ring, Cesaro would hit an uppercut on Sheamus into the timekeeper’s area. As Barrett and Cesaro were arguing, Sheamus clotheslined him and argued with Wayne Rooney. Barrett went up to him and got slapped.

In the ring Cesaro rolled up Sheamus for the win.

Rob’s Note: Very good match. Now we get Reigns vs. Cesaro next week on Raw, which should be fun.
