Survivor Series (2002) – Triple H (c) vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Booker T in the first ever Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

This was a historic night for the WWE, when fans got to see – for the first time – the Elimination Chamber. The match started out with RVD and Triple H, followed by Jericho, Booker T, Kane, and finally, Michaels. With the brand new environment, wrestlers wasted no time using the metal and chains that surrounded the ring to take each other out.

In not so surprising news, RVD was a standout in the early stages of this match taking several hard bumps, including jumping off one of the pods that held each wrestler.

Jericho caught fire by eliminating both Booker and Kane, while Michaels – who was the most fresh, entering last – was able to pin both Jericho and Triple H after both were on the receiving end of Sweet Chin Music. Even though Michaels had the feel good win (coming back from injury), he took a real beating in this match, including getting catapulted through one of the pod’s glass. The crowd absolutely blew up when Michaels got the big win; it was a great story, great finish, and great Survivor Series main event.
