The Undertaker

The 1990 Survivor Series saw one of the most legendary characters in WWE/WWF history make his first appearance, The Undertaker had arrived.

Undertaker came in as part of the Million Dollar Mans team, alongside Rhythm and Blues and DiBiase himself ,against Dusty Rhodes, Koko B Ware and The Hart Foundation. Instantly impressing with his size and look you knew that WWE had pulled something out of the bag with this man. He was put over strongly by Gorilla Monsoon and Roddy Piper on commentary, you had to know with the hype around him that he would be a man to be reckoned with going forward. Immediately showing his power against Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart it would be less than a minute before he pinned Koko B Ware after a Tombstone.  Looking strong against his three other opponents Taker would eventually get counted out whilst beating up Dusty Rhodes in the aisle. This was the debut of probably the greatest character Vince McMahon would ever dream up.

We now approach the 25th anniversary of that debut, his match alongside Kane against the Wyatts this weekend will officially mark that milestone. Throughout his long career he’s been at the top of the card. Holding the WWE Championship, breaking the mold with the Hell in a Cell against Mick Foley, leading the Ministry of Darkness, morphing into the American Bad-Ass, his association with Kane and Paul Bearer and most prominently his WrestleMania streak. Despite his 25 year career he has always been a man who the fans are desperate to see, making him one man who will never be forgotten in wrestling history.
