WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals Match
Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio
Result: Roman Reigns defeats Alberto Del Rio via pinfall to advance to the finals.

Reigns and Del Rio began with a lockup. Reigns hit a big shoulder tackle before Del Rio hit a kick to the leg and began throwing right hands.
Del Rio would dump Reigns to the outside but get hit with a right hand. However, Reigns got driven into the barricade.
Del Rio would climb to the top rope to knock down Reigns for a near-fall.
Reigns began whipping Del Rio around the ring. ADR came back with an enziguri to the back of the head and threw Roman into the steps. Del Rio would climb to the top rope for an elbow and a near-fall.
ADR would put Reigns into a headlock before the latter began fighting off. However, Reigns would get driven into the ring post shoulder-first.
Del Rio would hit with a kick to the chest before being sent out of the ring. Reigns would hit a dropkick outside the ring and bounce him off the announce table. Reigns came back with a clothesline and multiple ones in the corner.
Reigns would set up for a Superman Punch but miss. Del Rio hit the backstabber for a near-fall. He planted Reigns again for a near-fall.
Reigns came back with a Samoan Drop for a near-fall. He hit a hard right hand and met Del Rio at the top rope. ADR began fighting back and made Reigns’ legs hand on the turnbuckle. Del Rio missed the double stomp, tweaked his knee, but hit a big superkick for a near-fall.
Del Rio set up for the cross-arm breaker but Reigns countered and hit a sit-down powerbomb for a near-fall.
Del Rio would put on the cross-arm breaker but Reigns got out of it for a moment. Del Rio twisted the arm over the ropes but got hit with a spear.
Rob’s Note: I questioned how these two would work together, but a very good match was put on. Del Rio carried the early portion of the match but Reigns seemed to get more comfortable as it went on. Very good bout to begin the evening.
