Finn Balor-Samoa Joe Contract Signing

Michael Cole is out to start NXT, as he is the replacement for William Regal while he recovers from surgery. The NXT crowd does not like that Cole is in charge, and he says that tonight will be Eva Marie vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship. He then calls down Balor and Joe.

Balor comes down first and says that Joe isn’t entitled to anything in NXT. Balor says he wants Joe to come out and look him in the eye. He says he will shove his foot down Joe’s throat. Joe makes his way out next.

Joe immediately comes down and signs the contract without looking at Balor at all. Joe walks away to the back. Balor signs the contract and celebrates. As he makes his way up the ramp, Joe attacks him from behind. Balor hits Joe with a dropkick and unleashes on Joe. Joe gets Balor in the Coquina Clutch and makes Balor pass out. Joe stands tall to end the segment.

Evan’s Note: That was one of the best contract signings I’ve seen. It added a level of personal beef to the feud and wasn’t long-winded promos. Joe is a coward because he refused to look Balor in the eye and attacked him from behind. It was a great segment.
