WWE NXT Review: Results, Analysis and Grades; Bayley vs. Eva Marie

WWE Senior Official Charles Robinson is going to be a referee for the NXT Women’s Championship match, as he was sent by Corporate. He’ll be on the outside of the ring to see that everything goes down smoothly. I like this corporate angle, because it has a basis in reality. The company wants Eva as champion, not any of us.

Next week on WWE NXT, Samoa Joe will have a tune up match against Tommaso Ciampa.

NXT Women’s Championship Match
Bayley (c) vs. Eva Marie w/ Nia Jax

Result: Bayley def. Eva Marie via pinfall (Bayley to Belly).

Rating: 2.5 stars out of 5 stars

The two women start with some chain wrestling. Out of nowhere, Bayley hits a Bayley-to-Belly. The ref is counting, but Nia Jax pulls the ref out of the match. Eva goes for a roll-up, and Charles Robinson counts the two count. Bayley starts complaining to Charles Robison, who checks in with the refs on the outside. Nia Jax hits a headbutt on Bayley who goes down. Eva Marie goes for the pin and gets a two count.

Even with all the help, Bayley still stays in the match. Bayley goes for a small package but can’t get Eva down for the three count. Eva gets her head taken off by Bayley with a huge clothesline. Bayley hits a big suplex. Charles Robinson stops Bayley from hitting a splash on Eva, claiming she was in the ropes. Eva hits a Slice B(Red) #2, but only gets a two count. Bayley pushes Eva off of her, and Eva runs into Charles Robinson, knocking him down and out of the ring.

Eva goes to the top rope, and Bayley grabs her to go for a top rope suplex. Nia Jax pulls Bayley off the rope, but Bayley gets Eva still and hits her with a Super Bayley-to-Belly. The original ref gets back in the ring and counts the three count.

After the match, Nia Jax lays out Bayley with a leg drop. The show ends with Nia Jax standing tall.
