Final Thoughts

A great episode of WWE SmackDown. The roster may be severely thinned by injuries but the show still had fun matches. The New Day segment and match was one of my favourites of the last while, and the booking makes the Usos and Lucha Dragons both look like viable threats to New Day’s title reign.

Owens and Ambrose is a talented match up, but they need to be given the promo time to give their feud the needed oomph. By allowing both men to trade verbal barbs on the microphone it will make their clashes inside the ring mean even more.

Finally, the fact that there were no Divas dressed up in “pilgrim or natives” outfits in some terrible battle royal shows the strides the Divas have made. It often gets lost when people compare what is happening to their own fantasy booking, but the Divas division is in a better and more talented spot then it may have ever been before.
