3. The League of Nations

Last Rank: –

Week Highlights: United people from all walks of life with the sole intention of destroying Roman Reigns.

Yes, at the end of the day, these Superstars were all probably brought together in order to eventually be sacrificed to the great Roman Reigns, but these guys all needed to be grounded with an actual direction. And instead of just lumping various combinations of Sheamus, Del Rio, Rusev and Barrett into generic heel tag teams, the WWE grouped in them into an actual stable with an official name: the League of Nations.

As simple of a connection as it may be, the union actually makes sense, and these guys could actually display some real chemistry between the four of them. It all begs the question, of course, of whether this new alliance will only last the duration of Sheamus and Reigns’ feud, or if the League of Nations is here for the long haul.

2. Roman Reigns

Last Rank: 2

Week Highlights: Committed thievery. Got beat up.

Albeit the result of being heavily outnumbered, Roman displayed some genuine vulnerability this week. It’s already been established that Roman Reigns is about as close to invincible as a WWE Superstar can be, but it was refreshing to see that he can still be beaten into utter lifelessness when enough people are involved.

So why the number two ranking, then? In a fair fight, no one outside of Brock Lesnar or John Cena is capable of beating Roman Reigns right now. He is as physically strong as he has ever been; however, the fan support still isn’t where the WWE wants it to be.

Last night Reigns raised the belt in Sheamus’ face and received a smattering of applause. He isn’t doing anything endearing outside of being able to kick out of everything, and until he does, he’ll continue to elicit a lukewarm response from the WWE Universe.
