Debra McMichael is seen backstage with Mean Gene and Bobby Heenan. Debra wants to talk to Ric Flair about the match with her man McMichael and Kevin Greene. Debra enters the dressing room and exits to massive screams seconds later. Flair and Anderson attack Joe Gomez and the Renegade, the men they’ll face later on the show. This is a massive mess.

Squire Dave Taylor vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Result Duggan wins by pinfall.

Rating 1.0 out of 5 stars

Taylor and his fellow countryman Steve Regal are locked in a country vs country feud with Duggan, this is just another part of those battles.

Duggan gets the ovation you’d expect for a patriot. Taylor is one of the best that Britain has produced, he could wrestle rings around Duggan in his sleep. Duggan hits his punches and kicks, Taylor gets the better of him with wrestling but Duggan hits a big clothesline for a 2 count.

Taylor hits uppercuts before Duggan pulls tape from his trunks and hits a loaded punch for the 3 count.

Carl’s Take: Duggan is over with the crowd but this is a waste of someone with the skills of Taylor. I’m not really sure how some tape makes your punch any harder but this is wrestling so it doesn’t have to make sense.

A package is shown for the Cruiserweight title match between Rey Mysterio and Dean Malenko, this will be a classic.

Backstage Mean Gene interviews Big Bubba (Bossman) and Jimmy Hart. They shaved the head of John Tenta a few weeks ago then had an awful match on the previous Nitro. Bubba rants about shaving people.
