Idea No. 2 – The WWE Twitter Troll Ticker

What WWE does better than any other sports entity is engage their fanbase via social media. Whether the WWE Universe retweets fan reactions or superstars retweet fan art, the fan base is acknowledged. During each Monday Night Raw, fan reactions to the events of that night are scrolled across the bottom of the screen. Usually, the tweets are very straightforward and many tweet solely for making it onscreen. These are tweets like, “Oh boy, can’t wait for the main event!” “You’re such a sellout, Seth Rollins!” “John Cena and Cesaro: This is awesome!”

While those tweets show a satisfaction with the product, why not feature some smarky fan tweets during one segment! Yes, this would only feed into a fan’s desire to hijack a Raw, but this could be off the charts entertainment value. Scroll the smarks, the trolls, the people JR always complains about in his blogs. They are more bizarre than Goldust, more offensive than Katie Vick, but more captivating than general reactionary maxims.

The lucky tweets could derive from those hilarious Full Sail chants or the things fans yammer to Aubrey Sitterson about during Raw.

Some examples:

“Stop burying Cesaro!”
“Please turn Cena heel.”
“Where’s Kofi’s accent?”
“Bring up Eva Marie… just kidding.”
“Where’s Natalya?”
“I hope one day I can go all the way. (I’m 35.)”

These are all jewels-in-waiting! Feel free to put your suggestions for the Twitter Troll Ticker in the comments.
