WWE NXT Sheffield Review: Reactions, Results and Photos

After the interval we were treated to one of the best tag teams in wrestling not just NXT, and they’re not even the champions yet. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan are ridiculously good at what they do and showed it here with aplomb. The NXT Tag Team Champions Dawson and Wilder are no slouches either so this was set to be an amazing match.

Jordan and Gable entered to a monstrous pop from the crowd and the noise didn’t let up for the entire match. With duelling chants for them both coupled with continuous singing of their names. If other teams want to see what could be for them they only need to look here. They were both so good in the ring and the hot tag to Jordan that Gable built to was outstanding. The charisma they exude sets them apart from their peers.

With these four men in the ring, this was always going to be a great technical match. Gable is unreal with some of the moves he can pull off, there were a couple of times here where he somehow got himself out of difficult looking attacks with something a little bit spectacular that made you take a little more notice of him. Jordan is a monster when it comes to throwing suplexes and slams around when he takes down the straps on his singlet you can’t help but think of Kurt Angle and the comparisons are more than deserved.

Dawson and Wilder were more than capable of keeping up with them. Playing the role of no-nonsense, technical heels they are the perfect foils for Gable and Jordan. Cutting the ring in half to stop Gable getting the tag to Jordan. The match was only marred slightly by a fan jumping the guardrail to try and get in the ring, he was dealt with by ringside staff and security before he could do anything, what a stupid thing to do.

The match broke down with all four men battling in the ring, Jordan ended up down at ringside and Gable found himself rolled up with a tights hold for the three count to see Dawson and Wilder hold on to the tag belts. I can’t see it being too long before they get their hands on the gold, though.
