WWE TLC 2015: How King Barrett Can Return to Relevance at the PPV
The afterthought of the League of Nations stable has been King Barrett. Is there any way he can make an impact at WWE TLC?
When the League of Nations stable formed a few weeks ago, King Barrett’s inclusion wasn’t surprising. The group was made simply because of the four member’s birth countries, so the former Nexus leader fit in.
Before joining the group, Barrett had sunk to the low-card in WWE. This started with his King of the Ring tournament win in May and culminated with a long-lasting, irrelevant feud with R-Truth. They battled for the Englishman’s “crown” in a series of matches on Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-view kickoff shows. It’s safe to say the former IC Champion did not shine in this.

From there, Barrett worked a tag team match at WWE SummerSlam with Stardust. The next night, the leader of the Cosmic Wasteland viciously attacked his partner. It was meant to write him off TV to do filming for a movie, but being jobbed out by Stardust only made things worse.

Once Barrett returned, he wasn’t given much to do. Then this soft alliance between him, Sheamus and Rusev developed. Weeks later, Alberto Del Rio joined the fray to form the League of Nations.
Unfortunately, it’s been more of the same for the former Bearer of Bad News.
Barrett has taken pinfalls, looked like a fool in brawls with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and The Usos and couldn’t even get in the eight-man tag match on SmackDown this past Thursday. The bout lasted for 15 minutes.

Going into WWE TLC, Barrett is the only member of League of Nations to not have a match. With this being a heel stable and the bad supposed to be cheating to win, he should interfere in every match.
Getting involved throughout the show would give Barrett something relevant to do for the first time since WrestleMania season. He could help Rusev, Del Rio and Sheamus win and retain their titles (latter two are in championship matches). Since ADR and the Celtic Warrior are in matches where no one can be disqualified, it leaves the perfect opportunity for Barrett to make his presence felt.
Despite having Lana around, she can’t get physical in Rusev’s match with Ryback. It could lead to Barrett being at ringside with the Bulgarian Brute and attacking the Big Guy when the referee is distracted with Lana.

Having Barrett involved in every match would play a story throughout the night. Once the main event of Sheamus vs. Reigns arrives, we could see the babyfaces planning some type of counter to what Barrett has done. Storytelling isn’t WWE’s forte at the moment, but it would be nice to see a step in the right direction here.
Getting King Barrett involved at WWE TLC only makes sense and makes the League of Nations a stronger stable. They haven’t been booked particularly powerful since forming a few weeks ago but having their “weaker” part making an impact would be a move towards relevance.
