Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger (U.S. Title Chairs Match)

Before getting to the match, how is Jack Swagger still on the WWE roster? WWE has tried everything they could to get him over, which aside from “we the people!” none of it stuck. Fans just don’t care about him, no matter the story, which in this case, wasn’t very good. The Boston crowd wasn’t really feeling this match, even though it actually was pretty darn good. Aside from his connection to Del Rio, Swagger was basically sent out there to get destroyed by Del Rio and his endless amounts of chairs. If you do check it out, ignore the crowd’s lack of interest and the fact that the build-up was lame, just focus on the match. We don’t get a ton of chair matches, and to be honest, this is one of the better ones you’ll see.

For obvious reasons, WWE doesn’t allow shots to the head any longer, but Del Rio lands a couple to Swagger’s back that looked quite painful. For not expecting much from this match, I was still pretty impressed with the bigger spots in this one, even though the winner was never in doubt.

I’d say give this a watch, but it’s not must-see, by any means.
