Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns (WWE World Heavyweight Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match)

Reigns and Sheamus started hot right from the start, mimicking the flash KO finish to Aldo vs. McGregor to get the crowd’s attention. That attention didn’t last though as even though both guys were beating the crap out of each other, they decided to start up chants including: “Daniel Bryan,” “CM Punk,” and “NXT.” This was a clear case of fans not caring about the storyline, which is totally on the WWE. At the same time, fans need to adjust when the match, itself, is delivering and to get involved. Don’t chant for some guy that left over a year ago, cheer and boo for the wrestlers going through a table, right in front of you!

Probably my favorite spot was the Samoan Drop from the apron to the floor, through a ladder, it just looked brutal, and yet, was still relatively safe for both guys. To put it plainly, Sheamus and Reigns delivered, bad storyline or not, when the pressure is on, both guys have come through in the clutch. Things did get a little shaky towards the end with the other League of Nation members getting involved, not to mention Sheamus moving in slow motion while all alone on the ladder, but these are minor negatives.

Overall, this illogical dislike towards Reigns still baffles me, but hopefully his total destruction of Triple H will finally get fans more on his side going forward. Roman Reigns is a guy that excels in war and falters in peace, less talking, more action.
