New Day vs. Lucha Dragons vs. Usos (Tag Team Title Ladders Match)

If I was a wrestling fan – that didn’t have to write about it – once this match finished up, I would have turned TLC off, and got to bed early with wonderful ladders dancing in my head. All I can say is WWE recently put out a “top 10 ladders match” list, and they need to revise it, because this one is one of the best ever. Not just because it had some insane spots (Kalisto, you are a mad man!), but the match, itself, just flowed with purpose, and almost everything was crisp.

A lot of fans questioned why Xavier Woods was on commentary (no DQ match, New Day could have a 3-2 advantage) which he then smartly addressed, almost from the start. Staying to the side made his appearances that much more effective, first by coming ringside to taunt and blow his trombone for a few minutes. Then, in the closing moments of the match, Xavier realized they were going to lose, jumped to the apron, and launched his trombone at Kalisto!

Everyone did their part in this one, Big E was made to look physically strong, Kofi the savvy veteran, Jey and Jimmy both took insane bumps, Sin Cara didn’t mess up, and Kalisto pulled off one of the craziest moves I’ve ever seen. New Day is one of WWE’s strongest acts, and until a tag team can match that popularity, there is zero reason for them to lose those titles.

If you don’t get your eyes on this match, you’re getting Curtis Axel merchandise for Christmas. Watch!
