5 Reasons Putting the WWE Championship on Roman Reigns Now was Good Idea
Putting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Roman Reigns now was the best thing for WWE to do.
Last night on WWE Raw, Roman Reigns was placed in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Sheamus. If Roman lost, he would be fired.
After a long, grueling match that included Vince McMahon trying to screw him out of the title, Roman Reigns became the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by pinning Sheamus.

This was the culmination of Reigns’ path to the title throughout 2015. From the Royal Rumble win, to beating Daniel Bryan, to losing to Seth Rollins and being screwed out of the title multiple times, Reigns finally got his moment. The fans were behind him too, the same ones in Philadelphia who earlier this year booed him and The Rock out of the Wells Fargo Center. It was an amazing moment.
Fans didn’t know when this title win was coming for Reigns. He was going to win it at sooner than later, but WWE had to be careful to not wait much longer otherwise there could be backlash for their chosen one.
