Last Sunday, he may not have been an option, but without the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Kevin Owens is a legitimate possibility to win the title from Roman Reigns.

KO is WWE’s resident prizefighter. It’s what his gimmick is based around and he simply has a better presence with a belt. Some need a title and some don’t—he fits the former.

The former ROH star is one of the best (and most underused) on the microphone. His promos are captivating and compelling, which reels the audience in. Despite being a heel, they always draw positive reaction because how he speaks is just special. Owens’ in-ring work is superb too and can have a standout match anytime.

Owens is seen as a possibility to win the Royal Rumble next month. While he’s an intriguing choice, it seems too soon for him to go on to main event WrestleMania. However, after the event would be an ideal time for a chance at a title reign. If the former college football player still holds the belt, Owens could be the next guy to take it off him. It all depends on how he is used at WrestleMania 32, though. If he comes out with a win, big things could be in store.
