WWE SmackDown Review: Results, Analysis and Grades for Dec. 17

Follow along with our review of last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Fresh off the Tables Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View, and an episode of WWE Raw that saw Roman Reigns win the WWE Championship, Thursdays’ WWE Smackdown gives us the first glimpse at the new champion.
In one of the most memorable Monday Night Raw episodes of the year, we saw the return of Vince McMahon after Triple H was recovering from injuries thanks to Roman Reigns. Vince put Reigns in a Win or Get Fired matchup with Sheamus for the WWE Championship. After outside interference from the League of Nations and Vince McMahon, Reigns was finally able to climb the mountain and win the WWE Championship.

We also saw the beginning of a feud over the Intercontinental Championship between former champion Kevin Owens, current champion, Dean Ambrose, and Dolph Ziggler. The seeds were planted on Monday Night Raw and they are sure to spill over onto Thursday Night Smackdown.
Plus we saw Charlotte and Becky Lynch pick up another win on Raw, thanks to Ric Flair’s outside interference. Will we see another instance of outside inter’flair’ence?
