WWE Should Finally Sign AJ Styles
By Jay Sichler
With a thin main event roster, now seems like the perfect time for AJ Styles to join WWE.
For many years, WWE fans all agreed that the one star the company could never get their hands on was Sting. This changed however last Nov. when Sting shocked the wrestling world when he made a shocking appearance during the main event of the Survivor Series.
However, as cool and iconic as the moment was, it left many fans wondering what Sting would have done had he joined WWE earlier. Sting WWE career seems short-lived now with a neck injury in Sept. possibly ending his in-ring career. Now in 2015, a new name surfaces as the big star WWE hasn’t been able to land. His name is “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.

For much of the 2000’s Styles was the face for TNA. He became the companies most popular and successful homegrown talent. He won every major championship the company had to offer. Seeking new challenges and opportunities, Styles left TNA in 2013 to join New Japan Pro Wrestling.

In NJPW, the former TNA World Champion along with others has been able to rejuvenate NJPW and make it not only the second highest grossing wrestling company in the world (WWE is No. 1), but has made it the most exciting wrestling company to watch.
AJ is working under no contract with NJPW with his last date slated for Jan. 4th at Wrestle Kingdom 10 against Shinsuke Nakamura. With AJ working without a contract now is the perfect time for WWE to sign him.
With his star power and credibility Styles could join the main roster without having to join NXT first. AJ could join the roster without having to do the NXT tour first because of his name and his reputation around the world as a top star.
With his star power AJ could enter a feud with the likes of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns or Kevin Owens and make it must watch. AJ could instantly help beef up the mid card or the main event, either way he would me a major asset to the roster.
The reason now is the time to sign Styles as well is because he is suffering from a back injury. As seen with back injures in wrestling they can be either career ending or manageable. As seen in the past Shawn Michaels suffered a back injury but was able to return.
The reason why it is vital to bring AJ in now is because you would like to see him have at least a run lasting a few years before a major injury ends his run ends (Take Sting as an example of wanting to long to sign him). Any way you look at it now is the perfect time to bring AJ Styles into WWE.
