No Way Jose vs. Noah Kekoah
Result: No Way Jose defeated Noah Kekoah via pinfall
Rating: 1.9 out of 5 stars
After a successful debut against Alexandre Wolfe, No Way Jose looks to continue winning matches as he danc
Turning Points: Jose showed off his impressive dance moves on his way to the ring.
In between offensive maneuvers,, Jose continued his dancing – much to the chagrin of Kekoah.
After hitting a big punch out of the corner, Jose followed it up with a full-nelson slam for a victory. His second win in as many matches means – of course – more dancing.
Bryan’s Thoughts: Positive: No Way Jose is using the baseball punch thingy as a set-up to a finisher, instead of the finisher itself. The full-nelson slam is a good call, because it fits the character, since he can flair it up with the dance moves before hand.
I’m still unsure about the future of No Way Jose in general, for much of the same reasoning I wrote about last time. He still seems like too much of a stereotype kind of character, and the dancing and baseball combination is awkward. But hey, the crowd seems to love him, so what do I know?
Austin Aries Backstage
Aries put over Dillinger as a great opponent, then said he’s a little surprised about how he’s been received so far in NXT. He came in with much hype, but now he seems to be flying under the radar. Aries says he’s okay with that, and it just may take a little more initiative to get noticed at the proper level. He excuses himself to go eat a banana to replenish his potassium level.
