Could Seth Rollins’ WWE Return Lead to Triple H Coming Back?
There may have been a subtle hint at a future feud between Seth Rollins and The Authority on Monday Night Raw this past week.
For the first time since making a one-off appearance in December to accept the superstar of the year Slammy, Seth Rollins made his official return to Monday Night Raw earlier this week.
Rollins opened with a promo aimed towards WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns. The segment ended with Shane McMahon announcing a match between Reigns and Rollins at WWE Money in the Bank for the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

Initially, it seemed somewhat surprising that Rollins would be facing Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank for the Pay-Per View for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. As Shane McMahon stated, a match between Rollins and Reigns is worthy of the main event at Wrestlemania, or at least, SummerSlam.
Instead, we are getting the match two months earlier. Though, chances are there will likely be a rematch at WWE Battleground given traditional WWE booking practices. This means that there may be little chance of Rollins and Reigns being the main-event at SummerSlam.
In fact, WWE may have hinted towards Rollins’ SummerSlam match during backstage segment on Raw this past week.
When Rollins first encountered Stephanie McMahon this past Monday, there was a sense from The Architect that band was going to get back together. After all, it was The Authority that propelled Rollins into being the face of the company for much of the past two years. But despite their history, Stephanie McMahon cautioned Rollins by stating that things have changed and that their previous business arrangement was no longer valid.

With that interaction between Stephanie McMahon and Rollins, WWE may planted the seeds to a SummerSlam feud between the former member of The Shield and Triple H.
Rollins is going to win back the WWE World Heavyweight championship but chances are it won’t be at WWE Money in the Bank or WWE Battleground. Lets say that Rollins comes up short against Reigns at the next two pay-per views.
On the Monday after WWE Battleground, Rollins could cut a promo on how he feels betrayed by The Authority. Betrayed in the sense that he should have never been forced to vacate his WWE World Heavyweight championship. As Rollins is speaking, Stephanie McMahon interrupts and once again reminds Rollins that he would not be anything without The Authority. As Rollins refutes that statement, Triple H will make his return.
Considering Triple H has not been seen on WWE programming since Wrestlemania 32, his return is going to get a huge ovation. Triple H joins his wife and Rollins in the ring. Triple H will say something along the line of him being sick of Rollins’ whining and that he should do something that should have been done a long time ago. Remember, last Fall, WWE was angling towards a match between Rollins and Triple H for Wrestlemania 32.
Triple H’s return to confront Rollins would lead to a match between the two at WWE SummerSlam.
