4. Umaga

You’ll begin to see a pattern forming soon. Unstoppable monster destroys the entire WWE roster, looks invincible until he runs into a buzzsaw wearing a purple cap and jorts. Umaga arrived on the scene in 2006 as a fearsome savage who tore through everyone he faced, including Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

His undefeated streak lasted into 2007 with wins over Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, and more, and perhaps Umaga would have been better off just scoring victories and never going for gold because that would be his downfall.

See, the WWE Champion at the time was this guy named John Cena. You might have heard of him from all the wrestlers he left buried with nowhere to go. Umaga was put into a feud with Cena that led to a title match at New Year’s Revolution. Again, do you think Cena is closing out the year losing his title? Of course not. He defeated Umaga, but in pretty unconvincing fashion. Rematch!!

Their second match was when Cena got the chance to dominate his foe. His dominant mystique already ruined by opening loss, Umaga would go on to lose to Cena again at the Royal Rumble in a Last Man Standing match, the most humiliating match to lose in other than an “I Quit” match. Umaga was never the same after that. He had some big wins, including one against CM Punk, but never really got close to the WWE title again. Two years later he was out of the company.
