With his recent return to the roster, Seth Rollins needs to leave Money in the Bank as the new top face of the company.

Last month at Extreme Rules, Seth Rollins made his shocking return back to the main roster. After tearing his ACL and MCL in his knee during a European tour last November, Rollins had been completely absent from TV.

Rollins was the WWE Champion before going down, and sadly had to relinquish the title due to his injury. Generally, the timetable for a recovery from an injury this severe is around 6-9 months.

However, Rollins through guile and determination made it back it about 5 months to the roster. His return was completely unexpected as many did not think Rollins would return until mid summer.

His return instantly placed him back into the WWE Championship picture as he pedigreed Roman Reigns, after his title defense against AJ Styles. The Architect put himself in place to win back the championship he never lost.

Now set for a main event title match against Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins needs to leave the event as a face. Many believed when Rollins would return as a face coming back from a major injury.

Usually, when returning from an injury superstars usually return as a face, as they are shown a ton of respect from the fans. Stars like Triple H, Edge, and John Cena when returning from a major injury all came back as faces.

However, Rollins broke this trend when he cut a promo on Monday Night Raw stating that before his injury he didn’t need the fans and now coming back from injury he still doesn’t.

Rollins though is still receiving an outpour of cheers from the fans despite his recent heelish behavior.

WWE caused a huge following for Rollins when WWE did the 24 Documentary showing Rollins road to recovery. Here we saw Rollins as a normal person and showed him in a very positive light. After seeing the type of person Rollins is in real life a lot of fans are having trouble hating him now.

Roman Reigns on the other hand despite doing the right thing is still being booed by a heavy amount of the fans. After two solid performances against AJ Styles, Roman Reigns is still being booed by the fans. With the fans still not accepting the WWE Champion, a heel turn for Roman Reigns might be the best move.

The best way to do this would be to have a double turn occur during the main event at Money in the Bank. Roman can become super aggressive on Rollins causing the fans to hate Reigns and feel sympathetic for Rollins.

This would then turn Rollins into a face and turn Reigns into a heel. Rollins doesn’t have to win at Money in the Bank as he could chase the championship into Summerslam. Reigns could become the jealous heel, feeling angry and frustrated that despite everything he has done the fans prefer Rollins over him.
