The following week on Raw, Crews was working out backstage when he was joined by none other than the Big Show. The World’s Largest Athlete imparted some veteran advice to the young up and comer, telling him that Sheamus was a bully who was certain Crews would back down from a fight.

Looking to strike a blow in favor of the New Era, Crews attacked Sheamus the following week on SmackDown, just as Sheamus was bragging to other WWE Superstars about how impressive he was in the new Ninja Turtles movie. Sheamus made his way to the ring, and looked like he was not in a good mood.

Crews soaked up the positive crowd reaction ahead of his first main roster pay per view match. The two got into it before the bell rang, needing to be separated by the referee.

Officially, the match got off to a slow start, as Sheamus just wore down Crews with rest holds for the majority of the early goings.

Crews created some separation with a flip from the outside, but Sheamus caught him for a rolling senton.

Crews got the momentum on his side with an ezuigiri and a kip up.

After Sheamus was sent to the outside, Crews nailed a picture perfect moonsault from the apron.

Sheamus tried to put Crews away with White Noise from the second rope, but Apollo kicked out. Sheamus decided to argue with the official that it was a three count, which gave Crews the chance to roll Sheamus up for a surprise victory.
