Can Bray Wyatt Succeed on His Own in WWE?
With the WWE Draft now concluded, the rosters have separated. What will Bray Wyatt do without the Wyatt Family?
The new Era is officially here in WWE. With the conclusion of the WWE draft Tuesday night, the brands have been split and each will be featuring their own unique rosters. One of the rules in this draft was such that tag teams and or groups could be drafted as one entity. However, they too could be broken up if a general manager or commissioner so chose. Perhaps, most notably, The Wyatt Family was broken up as of last night.
Ultimately, SmackDown Live’s Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan with the 12th overall pick, decided to draft Bray Wyatt by himself. Henceforth, splitting up the Wyatt Family for now. The question should not be “can Bray Wyatt succeed on his own?” The question, however, should be, “can the Wyatt family survive without Bray?”

Wyatt has been one of the mainstream attractions WWE has had to offer in recent years. Coined as the WWE’s “Face of Fear,” Wyatt will have success for many years to come. It was finally time for him to spread his wings and break off from the Wyatt family. Granted, it was and still is a great gimmick, it was holding the leader, Wyatt back from his true potential.
Wyatt now has the chance to pursue a singles career and strive for a championship. With the brand split, WWE should be bringing back another world title for both brands to have. A smart decision as it will allow more opportunity for growth and further success from their superstars. Fans have known for quite some time the talent that Wyatt possesses and now he can truly showcase his skills inside the ring.

No more six-man tag team action for Wyatt. The Face of Fear will for the first time in his career, be truly on his own. He has shown what he can do as a single competitor with his feuds with both The Undertaker and Roman Reigns.
As for Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper, the only one I can see having success without Bray, is Strowman. He is a massive human being and can be a solid big man for WWE for many years. He can certainly pull off a Kane type gimmick. The crowd roared when fellow big man, Colin Cassidy aka Big Cass stepped into the ring face to face with Strowman. It is that type of reaction WWE should look for with him.
Wyatt becoming a solo act was much needed as the whole Wyatt family gimmick has been somewhat drawn out, yet still had success. I do believe in the future, the Wyatt family should return and will receive a significant pop from the crowd when they one day rejoin forces. For now, however, Wyatt will do great things on his own for the next couple of years.

Wyatt will be a WWE Championship contender now, which is what the fans want to see from such a polarizing figure. Wyatt has the backing of WWE fans. He does not need chants from the crowd like that of Daniel Bryan or Enzo and Cass; Bray has his fireflies. The Rock said it best at Wrestlemania, when he praised Bray for his ability to engage the crowd. When the lights go down and his music hits, the fireflies come out. Look for Wyatt to make an impact and flourish for many years to come.
