WWE’s New Found Attitude
As the New Era is officially in full swing in WWE, a new found attitude has been exhibited over the past few months.
The WWE has made drastic changes in which to make their brand the best it can be over the past couple of months. Altercations which include better promo’s, better story lines, brand splits, as well as new superstars. With many of these new superstars up on the main roster, a new found attitude has been presented in multiple forms. Most recently coming this Monday night on Raw with the opening segment featuring the new WWE Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks and her opponent at SummerSlam, Charlotte.
The new found attitude which has featured some comedic trash talking you would see in your average conversation nowadays. With both Banks and Charlotte trying to promote their title match at SummerSlam just a few weeks away, they went after each other on the mike as well as in the ring last night. Might I say, they did a pretty solid job. Charlotte making the bold statement “at SummerSlam, I will beat you all by myself.” To which she called Banks and her title reign, a “one night stand.”

Banks threw it right back in the former champion’s face stating “You’re the daughter of Ric Flair; if it wasn’t for a one night stand, you probably wouldn’t be standing here. Woooooo!” The women’s division is getting steamy once again in WWE. This new found attitude was a much needed refreshment. To coin a phrase, “It gets the people going!”

Not to mention, a little on screen romance from both Banks as well as Enzo Amore. Amore kissing the hand of Banks as he entered the ring and calling out the phrase he and fans know so well, “How ya doin’?” Banks said it right back to Smack Talker Skywalker.
Is WWE gradually pulling away from their G rating? Amore later stating he would like to make a “certified G deposit” at the “Sasha Bank.” Certainly not a certified “G” rating statement. Perhaps a PG-13 rating is in the near future. We have not seen this type of smack talk in quite a few years with WWE.
They have the stars to certainly do so. Especially with a wrestler such as Amore, who is great with crowd engagement and dishing out punchlines. He did so calling Chris Jericho Bon Jovi on Raw as well. We have seen this new attitude as well with wrestlers such as Seth Rollins, John Cena, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns. It needs to continue as it engages the crowd with more of today’s modern humor. It hypes up matches in the best possible way.

What will the WWE come up with next as they continue to move forward with the New ERA? We will have to wait and see. I predict big things coming on the horizon. WWE is unquestionably headed in the right direction with this new found attitude they are showcasing on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT for that matter.
