5 Reasons WWE SummerSlam Will Be Better Than WrestleMania 32

1. WWE’s Top Stars Are Back
The most important difference between WrestleMania 32 and SummerSlam is that all of WWE’s top stars are finally healthy and ready to compete. A few months ago, WWE was bitten by an injury bug that took out several of their biggest names including Seth Rollins, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cesaro, and more. As things currently stand, knock on wood, all of those superstars are healthy and figure to be performing come next Sunday.
It’s crazy to imagine what WrestleMania would have been like if those guys weren’t on the shelf. There were rumors that John Cena would have faced the Undertaker, Rollins would have likely been in the title picture instead of Triple H, Cesaro figures to have been in the Intercontinental title ladder match, and it’s hard to even speculate with Orton because he was out for so long prior to Mania. Instead, Cena appeared only briefly to help The Rock fend of the Wyatt Family, and the other three guys were forced to watch either at home or backstage.

But for SummerSlam, things will be a lot different. All of these guys will be wrestling and most of them will be in enormously important matches (aside from Cesaro who figures to face Sheamus yet again, likely on the pre-show). In fact, Rollins vs Balor, Cena vs Styles, and Orton vs Lesnar are probably the three most star-powered matchups on the entire card. Having all of these formerly injured stars back and ready for action is obviously a huge positive, and it could lead to SummerSlam being a better overall show than a WrestleMania that noticeably lacked the presence of these top guys.
