NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II: Full Match Card

A look at the match card for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II.

NXT TakeOve : Brooklyn II takes place tonight, live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York. With six matches on the card, including every NXT Championship being defended, we are set for another outstanding live event from NXT.

Right at the top of the card, we will see Samoa Joe defend his NXT Championship against the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura. Joe has held the title since defeating his nemesis Finn Balor back in April at a house show. Nakamura has gone undefeated since his NXT debut match against Sami Zayn back at WrestleMania weekend in Dallas.

Nakamura has really gotten under the skin of Joe in the last few weeks, by the time they get their hands on each other Joe may very well be ready to explode. Nakamura looks like calmness personified, and the most charismatic man in professional wrestling could very easily walk away with the gold.

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will go one on one with former Champion Bayley. Bayley lost the title to Asuka at TakeOver: Dallas, after passing out whilst in an Asuka submission hold. This is Bayley’s rematch for the gold, in what may very well be her final match in NXT.

The NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, will go head to head with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. The Revival are the first ever two-time Champions in NXT history, but will face a tough night against the challengers in Brooklyn.

Bobby Roode has made something of a Glorious entrance into NXT, without actually having a match yet. He is set to face Andrade “Cien” Almas at TakeOver, with Roode looking to make a big impression in his first NXT match.

Austin Aries looked like he was set to follow in the footsteps of No Way Jose and put some fun back into his matches. Aries even had a dance on the announce desk with Jose, before attacking him and eventually setting up this match.

In what could be called the most intriguing match of the night, the debuting Ember Moon will face Billie Kay in the NXT Women’s Division. Ember Moon is the woman formerly known as Athena on the indy circuit, and will make her televised NXT debut tonight in Brooklyn.
