Will There Be Repercussions for Brock Lesnar?

The general population is still waiting for answers as to what happened between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton last night. Watching it back, it looks like Lesnar hit Orton with some legit elbows to the top of the head, causing the Viper to bleed profusely and the match to be called off. What isn’t known is if this blood spot and subsequent TKO was planned entirely, if it was a plan gone wrong, or if it was a complete botch by Lesnar. The same goes for the F5 to Shane McMahon, as that may or may not have been improvised in order to end on a less anticlimactic note. Former ESPN personality Bill Simmons actually summed things up pretty nicely.

But what’s done is done, and whether that whole situation was planned or not, WWE will have to live with it and go from here. Since Lesnar is technically a member of the Raw brand, his status will likely be addressed tonight. Considering he is a part-time performer, it seems logical that Lesnar could be suspended for what he did last night, specifically the assault on Shane McMahon.

If this is the direction they go, it would be somewhat disappointing because of how transparent it is. Everyone knows Lesnar only shows up a few times a year, so giving him kayfabe reasons to be off TV is getting old at this point. Regardless, the Lesnar situation is likely to be addressed in some way tonight, so we can at least look forward to seeing what the heck last night was leading to.
