2. The WWE Universe is Dictating a Change

Let’s compare the Styles and Ambrose matches at the most recent WWE pay-per-view event, SummerSlam. For the Styles win over John Cena, the Brooklyn crowd was rabid for the entire match, chanting for both men at various times and they were invested in the entire match. It was one of the best matches of the year where both guys received a massive ovation from people that appreciated the outstanding work they got to witness in person.

Then there was Ambrose’s win over Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Title. The only thing memorable about that match was the crowd sitting on their hands for much of it, which is another way of saying they were quiet. Sure, the work in the match was okay by two guys that know what they are doing out there, but it was very disappointing.

Think of it from the perspective of WWE’s creative team. Do you reward the guy that had the best match at the most recent major show or keep the title on the champion that nearly put the crowd to sleep? It’s time for WWE to listen to the crowd – put the title on Styles.

Listen to your audience, WWE. Their opinion matters.
