5 Reasons Randy Orton Should Join The Wyatt Family

5. Orton is Stale Again
Every time that Randy Orton turns heel or face, it seems to be due to him being stale in his current form whether it’s heel or babyface. This happened when he went heel in 2013, and most recently about two years ago. His most recent turn came in the fall of 2014 when Seth Rollins attacked and sent him out of The Authority. Orton’s character had fallen for months leading up to this, including having a lackluster world title reign heading into WrestleMania XXX. It helped necessitate a change in character, which helped The Viper get some momentum back.

As of October 2016, Orton has become stale again, but as a babyface. Despite returning from injury in July, he has seen his momentum spiral downward as a good guy, losing to Brock Lesnar via TKO and Bray Wyatt at No Mercy. Both matches weren’t anything to note either.
By joining The Wyatt Family, Orton would revive his character in a way he hasn’t before. While he has been part of stables like The Authority, Evolution, and Legacy, Wyatt’s group very much contrasts those three. The Apex Predator would take on his darkest gimmick ever and refresh himself as a member of a cult. It would be a way of reinventing himself at 36-years-old when it’s usually hard for Superstars to do so. Orton arguably hasn’t changed much over the years with being a snake or the “RKO outta nowhere” fad either, so this may be a welcome change for him.
