4. New Feuds for Heel Orton

By turning Randy Orton heel to join The Wyatt Family, he would have new feuds to test out immediately. Given that he’s part of a stable, it may be difficult for him, Harper, and Wyatt to find a rivalry with a lack of factions on SmackDown, but there could be one option.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno have worked together in recent weeks. They have gone head to head with The Miz and The Spirit Squad, so there’s a mini alliance between the trio. If all three successfully get past Miz, Kenny, and Mikey, then The Wyatt Family could turn to them and go for the titles.

With Orton, he could go after Ziggler’s Intercontinental Championship. It could be a refreshing program as these two have rarely crossed paths on WWE TV as babyfaces. They last faced off in October 2014, shortly before the RKO Master got kicked out of The Authority.

An alternative would be Orton targeting someone like Dean Ambrose while Wyatt and Harper still go after the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. These two have wrestled in singles matches before, but never against each other on pay-per-view.

Orton joining The Wyatt Family would be justified by giving him new feuds to work with as a heel. He’s arguably run thin on them on SmackDown even though he hasn’t faced AJ Styles yet (and doesn’t seem like that will happen yet). Who else could be an option to go head to head with a heel Orton?
