Raw Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day (c) vs Sheamus and Cesaro
This is an intriguing match, but one that should be a good contest between two of the top teams on Raw. The New Day are rapidly approaching legendary status with the length of their Tag Team title reign, second only in WWE/WWF history to Demolition and their 478-day reign back in the late 1980’s.
Sheamus and Cesaro were put together as an odd couple tag team, following their Best of Seven Series ended in a 3-3 draw. Raw GM Mick Foley decided to make them become a team, with both men seemingly not happy to tag with the other. It has lead to some fantastic entertainment, but will probably lead to them losing out on the night for the gold.
In the modern WWE, it seems like records mean a lot to Vince McMahon, so I can’t see past The New Day retaining here. It will more than likely come after Sheamus decides he will walk out on Cesaro instead of helping him win the match, eventually leading to a big grudge match between them both.
