WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
TJ Perkins (c) vs Brian Kendrick
TJ Perkins was the inaugural winner of the newly made WWE Cruiserweight Championship, having beaten the rest of the field to win the first ever Cruiserweight Classic.
Since winning the tournament and title, Perkins has been entangled with his former mentor Kendrick, with the elder statesman of the Cruiserweight Division being the dastardly veteran in his attempts to take the title away from the younger man.
After being beaten by Perkins at Clash of Champions, Kendrick attacked the champion. They had another match on Raw, with Kendrick winning via submission. Kendrick got the win, but not the title he so desperately craves.
Since then Kendrick seems to be in the last chance saloon, if he can’t win the match at Hell in a Cell, this could be his final real shot in WWE. That’s why I think he will get the win, followed by his every match looking like he’s on his last legs in the division. Perkins is over with the fans, he doesn’t necessarily need the title to be a big star in WWE going forward.
