2. The Best NXT Stars Have Gone to the Main Roster

Between late 2014 and summer 2015, NXT had not only the best wrestlers but also the best feuds in WWE. Among the wrestlers in NXT at the time, you had: Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Neville, just to name a few.

By the fall of 2015, all of those names had been ‘promoted’ to the main roster, and the results have been mixed, to say the least. Some of these wrestlers have experienced major successes (Owens, Sasha, Charlotte), while others have experienced roadblocks of different sorts (Zayn, Balor, Neville).

The important thing here is that all of these wrestlers were the faces of NXT for a long time and were massive draws for that brand. With them on the main roster now, NXT has far fewer faces to draw in crowds. Sure, NXT still has a deep roster of top stars, but the ones that truly elevated the brand to a new level, those wrestlers have since moved on to bigger (but not necessarily better) things.
