Was it the “End of the Line” for New Day’s tag title reign at WWE Roadblock?
New Day has done it. The pillars of positivity, Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods have broken Demolition’s tag team title record. So… what now? If the typical WWE pattern stays true, New Day will lose the titles at WWE Roadblock to the mismatched team of Cesaro and Sheamus.
And why wouldn’t tonight be the night? This is will be the third team New Day has defended the titles against them, and they’ve barely squeaked by each time. Meanwhile, Cesaro and Sheamus are finally on the same page (Bar brawls can do that), and let’s be honest… there’s really nowhere else for their team to go. New Day, who actually lost the gold for a brief spell to the Prime Time Playas (shudders), can survive just fine. And there’s no reason they can’t win the gold again.
But first, they have to lose. Is that what happened tonight at Roadblock? I mean, it is called “End of the Line”, right?
Here they are! The longest reigning tag team champions ever are here and they got cockblocking jokes!

With considerably less fanfare are their challengers, Cesaro and Sheamus! Is tonight the night?

Cesaro didn’t bother waiting he opened up with a huge dropkick on Kofi, followed by an uppercut. Then the challengers showed some of their own tag team teamwork. Enough to end New Day’s reign at day 483?

It’s been complete dominance by the challengers, nailing Kofi with a huge pop-up uppercut. Where’s Big E when Kofi needs him? Oh yeah, he’s hurt on the floor.

The champs couldn’t hold on to the momentum for long, and the challengers came back with a twist on Sheamus’ “White Noise”!

Miscommunication by Sheamus and Cesaro! You don’t see that out of the tag champs, do you?

But when you’ve got Cesaro’s remarkable power, miscommunication is a minor problem. Look at this ridiculous power by the Swiss Superman!

Trav’s Thoughts: Solid match, although predictable if you know WWE’s track record. I have a feeling this isn’t over, especially after Sheamus seems to be all in this for himself. Would anyone be surprised if New Day won the titles back tomorrow night on Raw?
