Neville Gets a Cruiserweight Title Opportunity

Neville has been a revelation in the Cruiserweight division ever since he formally joined it at Roadblock: End of the Line. His heel turn marked a needed change in his character and now he’s running through his fellow Cruiserweights like it’s nothing. His latest victim was the Cruiserweight Champion himself, Rich Swann, whom Neville defeated last week on 205 Live. So logically what comes next? A championship opportunity.

The match will not occur on tonight’s Raw. Rather it will likely be announced for either an upcoming Raw, an upcoming 205 Live, or most likely, the Royal Rumble. For Neville, it will be a long time coming since he probably should have been part of the Cruiserweight division since its inception. But a title match should make up for that quite nicely, especially if it’s on one of WWE’s biggest PPVs of the year.

As for tonight, expect Neville to keep making his mark. He’ll probably destroy some poor Cruiserweight and leave him in his path of destruction as he continues to pursue the title. Meanwhile Rich Swann will probably dance or something before finally conceding and giving Neville his title shot. But the dancing is what we’re really looking forward to.
