Goldberg Announces He’s Entering the Royal Rumble at No. 1

When Goldberg first returned, it was presumed to be for a one-off match against Brock Lesnar. That match ended up happening at Survivor Series and provided arguably the most shocking wrestling moment of 2016 when he defeated the Beast Incarnate in just one minute and 26 seconds. Despite clearly making his mark, Goldberg wasn’t ready to walk away as he announced the next night on Raw he would be sticking around and would enter the Royal Rumble.

With his appearance tonight on Raw, everyone is wondering what Goldberg has in store. Sure, it could just be a fiery promo about how he’s ready to get back in the ring again and decimate anyone who gets in his way. But maybe there will be more to it. Maybe Goldberg will actually make some headlines tonight by announcing not only his position in the Royal Rumble, but his intention to enter at number one.

It makes too much sense for Goldberg to enter at number one. He said himself that everyone is next, and after his match against Lesnar, he certainly has the confidence to enter the match first and still think he can win. By coming in first, he can run through a few jobbers before eventually coming face-to-face with Lesnar again, and that’s something we all need in our lives. It may be a bold call, but we’re predicting Goldberg officially announces his intention to enter the Rumble match at number one.
