The Rumble match follows a simple formula. Two entrants start the match, followed by another random participant every minute or so thereafter. Whenever that next person enters, they have a few moments to show what they can do in front of an audience that might not be familiar with them.

With WWE trying desperately to see how fans react to certain women, the Rumble would be a great way to see the kinds of reactions those women get. Whether it’s an established star like Nikki Bella or Natalya, a new face like Dana Brooke or Bayley, or even a rookie in NXT like Ember Moon or Billie Kay, giving each one of these women a brief moment to show off their skills would allow WWE to find out who has potential star power and who needs more practice.
